An up-and-coming MMA fighter wants more than just one night from a woman fleeing her past in New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster's irresistible new novel

Heavyweight fighter Denver Lewis plays real nice, but he doesn't share. That's why he's been avoiding top-notch flirt Cherry Peyton. But a man can only resist those lush curves for so long. Their encounter surpasses all his fantasies, bringing out protective urges that Cherry's about to need more than she knows…

Denver's combination of pure muscle and unexpected tenderness has been driving Cherry wild. Yet no sooner does she get what she's been craving than old troubles show up on her doorstep. And this time, Cherry can't hide behind a carefree facade. Because the man by her side is one who'll fight like hell to keep her safe…if only she'll trust him enough to let him…

*****

I fell in love with Denver within the first few pages of this book and simply fell deeper with every new chapter.
Love that man!

The quiet and honourable type, with strong Alpha tendencies (of course), Denver has held himself back from Cherry Peyton for a long time - despite his undeniable attraction to and singular focus on her. Honourable, because as part of a close knit group of friends, Cherry is so closely entwined with some of his fellow fighters, she is considered more as family than anything else. Honourable also because Cherry appears to be the party girl of the hour, something he doesn’t want to risk his heart on.

Cherry loves her friends and loves to have fun, but she would love it even more if unflappable Denver Lewis would respond to her advances for once. A girl can only take so many rejections before she has to accept the message for what it is; No Interest. But her last-ditch effort has a different outcome than she was expecting.
The moment her life seems to go in the right direction for her, a past she’s been hiding from catches up. She is determined to handle things herself, but Denver is not about to sit back.

Although it took me a while to warm up to Cherry, she ended up growing on me. One of the reasons I just adore Lori Foster’s writing is that she manages to keep characters evolving throughout the course of a novel, becoming true ‘heroes’ by the time “The End” rolls around.

New BBF for me!
