The Pulse continues right where
the beat left off. Ren is completely miserable and feeling completely alone. With
nothing else to focus on, training to fight became her only passion. Through this
passion she manages to connect with her dad while working her way through the ranks
of the UAFC. But her heart is still not in it, it is lost with Ash wherever the
hell he is.
When she realizes he didn't completely
leave her by choice, but more by force she has mixed feelings. More confused than
anything about what she thought they had together. There are so many secrets and
she is tired of decisions being made for her. When she confronts Ash, she feels
even more lost and not sure where she should be.
The last thing Ash wanted was
for Ren to see him so lost, weak and vulnerable. He is a fighter damn it. He let
her and Violet both down when they needed him most. He’s convinced that he is protecting
her by pushing her away. Can either of them survive the distance apart? Ren decides
that they are worth fighting for, so she pushes until Ash opens back up.
United as one team they are ready
to take on the world one person at a time. The connection that Ren and Ash share
once they start to really communicate is something that we all wish for in a relationship.
Will it be enough for them?
This story is very well written
with strong characters that you can't help but fall in love with.
