Penny is enjoying her new life away from Tanglewood. When her weekly call from her father does not come she begins to worry. She knows he is working for Damon Scott but has no idea what he is doing for him. She decides to have a night out with Avery to take her mind off of the fact she has not heard from her father. After dinner they head back to Avery’s house. Gabriel has been traveling for a while and Avery does not want to be alone so she asks Penny to stay the night. When Penny wakes up the next day Avery is missing. Penny decides to contact the one man who might know where both her father and Avery are. 

 

She has been drawn to Damon Scott since the first day she met him when she was a little girl. With the news about Avery Damon makes Penny stay with him so she is safe. The day of Avery’s disappearance Damon received a note with a cryptic message on it. Penny loves puzzles so she set out to solve it. When they solve the puzzle they determine that it is from Jonathon Scott. How when he is locked up in an asylum? They find out he has taken over the asylum and that he has Avery. Damon is determined to go alone to fix the mess his father caused but Penny convinces him it is something they must do together. 

 

Will they be able to save Avery and stop Jonathan Scott once and for all? Will their hidden love for each other find its way to the surface? 

 

This was a strong ending to this duet.
