She makes it hard to breathe.
But the thought of my life going on without her is a thought I can’t even consider.
Effa—the girl who illuminated my world, so vibrantly.
And now I have no idea where the road will take me.
When I agreed to go on tour with Luminous, I never imagined I would fall for their lead singer.
I never intended for my world to come crashing down the way it has. The only thing keeping me going is my hope that maybe there might be a light at the end of this dark tunnel.
With one catastrophe after another, can I come back from the disaster that is my life and find my happily ever after?
She makes it hard to breathe, but am I enough for her to take another breath?

4 of 5 Stars

We pick up right where Pulse left off. Mercs jumping in to do everything he can to save Effa while everyone hopes and prays she will be okay.

As we continue to watch Mercs in his role as the protector to both Effa and Keira, we also watch Effa bet the calming presence that Mercs needs. She keeps him grounded and helps him move forward with life wholeheartedly. The author brings out many emotions in the book.

I love that the story isn't completely about our main couple. There are many smaller side stories that help give the book a little something extra. Will anything happen between K & R, is there something going on with A & L, are A & T actually figuring things out?

I completely enjoyed this book, a strong mix of humor and serious. Some very serious topics have been covered in these books but without making it over the top. Very much worth the read.
