Review - LENNON REBORN by Scarlett Cole

Lennon Reborn (Preload #4)
by Scarlett Cole

From the queen of heart-pounding, sexy, emotional romance Scarlett Cole comes Lennon Reborn, a stunning, shattering rock star romance in the Preload series.

Lennon McCartney is not a broken man. Because being broken implies being whole once. When a horrific accident deprives him of the one thing he loves—his talent as a fierce and explosive drummer—Lennon is left with a life chained by an abusive mother, by crushing guilt over a tragic past. A life he doesn’t want.

Dr. Georgia Starr is a legend. She’s one of the most successful neurosurgeons in the world, coming from a long-line of respected New York doctors. Her life is built around solving complex medical cases in order to bring relief and hope to sick children. But the one problem she can’t solve is how to live her life. How to be shake loose the burden of being her elitist, arrogant father’s daughter. How to be free.

Can a man who despises his life and a woman who desperately needs to live find the answers, and love, with each other?

**Warning: Deals with dark themes and deep personal struggles.**

Lennon sits on the tour bus on their way to the final show of Preload’s US tour, worrying about what he will do when the band takes some time off to regroup. Envy for his brother who have someone in their lives to share the time off with is also causing anger inside Lennon. Then tragedy strikes as a dump truck slams into the side of the tour bus flipping it on its side throwing the band members and loved ones all around the bus. Georgia Starr is On her way home from work where she surgically separated conjoined twins. A very successful surgery has her in a pretty good mood until she watches the collision of the dump truck and bus. Running to help she finds many injured. As she gets those out that are conscious she then moves to the more seriously injured. Finding Lennon pinned by one of the seats clinging to life as he had lost a lot of blood, ready to give up on his life she vows to not let him die. Lennon loses his arm in the accident changing his life forever. He plays the drums, this band is his whole life. What is he going to do. When everyone is healed he insists that they all go back to Toronto. He can’t talk to his brothers about what he is feeling. He shuts off communication with everyone. Georgia comes to visit and manages to get him to open up about his pain. Georgia tries to be there for Lennon as much as possible to help him through this. A friendship turns into more than either expected. New prosthetic advancement changed his outlook on his future. With a little time he might be back to playing what he loves. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series of Scarlett Cole’s. Each book got better and Better.
