Book Review - A VIRTUAL AFFAIR by Tracie Podger

A Virtual Affair
by
Tracie Podger

Do you know what hope smells like?
It’s a combination of the sea, of exposed seaweed and salty air.
Of wet sand on a winter’s day.

Jayne was mid-forties when she experienced the worst and the best times of her life.
She fell in love, so desperately in love.
She lost everything overnight.

But no matter how bad life gets, how far down that dark tunnel you are, there is always a glimmer of hope.

From her dream house in Kent, via the nuthouse, and eventually to a cottage in Cornwall, Jayne takes a journey that is to wound, to destroy, and eventually heal her.

This is a story of one woman’s quest to find herself, and to love herself again.

Contemporary Romance for readers over the age of 18.

4.5 Fabulous Stars

I am clearly kicking my butt for sitting on this book for so long, letting it get pushed down the ever growing TBR list.

Ms Podger draws you in with the betrayal and loss. Jayne is beaten down and you will be cheering her on to step out of the despair of her day to day. Just as you think she is catching a breath and on the next step life throws her another curve ball. You will be angry on Jayne's behalf. You will want to hug her and take her away. Happy and smiling one minute, tearing up the next.

Not only is Jayne dealing with issues but her new found friend and confidant Stephan understands her feelings first hand as he too had been there. Is it possible that they can find happiness they never truly knew?

The truthfulness and honest in this book of fiction kept me turning the pages. Feeling like this could be me or my friend, making it relatable.
