Ms. Leighton is bringing a new series, and I was eager to get my hands on the first book. She certainly didn't disappoint. With her sassy heroine, smooth talking cowboy and a deep rooted family.

Haley is coming home for the first time in 10 years after running from her mistakes at 19. She has kept in contact with everyone but jumped from one mistake to another so fast, it is time to find herself. What better place to do that than home with her family. She was not prepared for the hot smooth talking ranch hand. But she has her rules and she surly intends to stick to them.

Nixon has business on his mind after a long day in meetings. Not his favorite place to be. Stopping for a drink in a nearby bar, he was not prepared for the striking red head. She has his full attention as soon as he walks in. Resistant to love or anything close to, he is prepared for a night and gone. What he wasn't prepared for was Haley being the daughter of the current ranch takeover or the way she makes him feel.

This book is filled with some fun sexy chemistry and banter between two people who were resistant to love but find it anyway. It was fun following along as they find their HEA.

I am excited for what more will come from this new series.
