Ms. Barker has brought me to my knees with this book. I felt every emotion of her characters deep in my heart while I wept along with them. Somehow she makes me feel like I am there with them, not just looking in on what is happening. Many dimension's bring us a beautifully heartwarming tale of second chances.

Taz's fear and worries about returning home, seeing everyone again after all these years. Nicky's acceptance with her health and trying to mold the future a little bit. Mom's anger and unwillingness to look at things with a open mind. The children's struggle with everything going on and the added perceptions the adults portray. Rafe trying hard to keep things as normal as possible while trying to explore the new possibilities of happiness. Small town living is never easy but add some family challenges and too many people form unwanted opinions.
