Blog Tour - TRUTH BE TOLD by Marie James

Release Date: February 23

Lies ruin lives.

Ignacio Torres, the translator for Blackbridge Security, has told his fair share and then some.

He lied more than once to Tinley Holland when they were teens.

Told her he didn’t love her.

Told her he could live without her.

Told her what they shared didn’t mean a thing.

He’s lived with those lies, lived with the loss of her for over a decade.

What he didn’t expect was going home to help with a family matter only to discover Tinley has told the biggest lie of all.

4 Stars

The 4th book in the Blackbridge Security Series, but could be read as standalone with no issues. I bet you will want to go back and read the others though. A nice slow burn that will have you wanting to slap the characters and help them see what is right in front of them.

Ig and Tinley were once high school sweethearts in an area where life was anything but easy. Ig had one thing in his plans and that was to get out of that damn town. When Tin had the chance to go, he knew he had to send her with her family and that meant breaking their hearts. Wanting a better life for her.

Thirteen years later Ig finds himself in the one place that holds so many horrible memories for him. Putting to rest the man that caused him all the pain as a child. Shocked when he finds Tinley living in the same home she did all those years ago. She didn't get the life he wanted for her, and she has a big secret that is about to explode. He is determined to be the man he hasn't had the chance to be. She is determined to hold her anger and push him away. Will these two characters be able to fight their natural chemistry and the love they both still hold deep. Or will they give in and maybe get the life they once dreamed of together?

Let's see...where to begin...

I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I'm not writing; I'm reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
