Book Review - MORE THAN LIES by N.E. Henderson

More Than Lies by N.E. Henderson

I’ve spent years pushing her away. She thinks I hate her, but really, I know she deserves better than a college dropout turned tattoo artist.

But tragedy hits home, and I can’t watch another tear fall from her beautiful face, so I took something I never should have touched.

Then I let her believe a lie. I stayed silent while her heart break in front of me. She walked away. I didn’t stop her. I should have, because I learned the hard way—lies lead to consequence.

3.5 Stars

If you are looking for a book with plenty of angst, the love hate pull between H/h then you can look no further. There were times when I couldn't decide who I wanted to slap more the H for his asshole ways or h for showing all her cards and continually going after him.

Shawn and Taralynn have know each other since they were very young and grew up with each other. Somewhere along the way Taralynn feel in love with Shawn. Shawn new he would always need her to be part of his life but he never felt he could the one she needed. He didn't think he was good enough to keep her happy.

There are many ups and downs along the way as these characters grow. Tragedy brings them together but loss and the truth is what really opens their eyes. Relationships are work and they aren't easy but if you are truly willing to put in the work it can be beautiful.

I didn't connect with the characters as much as I had hoped to but I know there is strong potential in the writing. I look forward to seeing what happens next with this close crew.
