This standalone book is full of feels both happy and sad, amazing chemistry and a connection not quite explored. These characters and their ties of best friend/brother who died will draw you in and have the pages turning.
Jody Walker has had to learn to live her life without her twin brother. She is a strong, hard worker who works producing apps and being a volunteer firefighter. Her best friend was her brothers best friend before he died. She struggles with letting people in and letting them get to know the real her. She is balancing a fine line with her BFF Theo as she is supposed to be his friend but her mind has taken her thoughts in a whole new direction lately.
Theo Nash didn't have the best childhood, but his luck changed when he moved in with his Aunt Lauren. Becoming fast friends with Joey. Joey's family had treated him just like one of their own. This book had a true Kelly Gendron feeling and I loved the flow and characters. A good emotional read.
