Review - STARRY-EYED LOVE by Helena Hunting

Having just broken up with her boyfriend, London Spark is not in the mood to be hit on. Especially not when she’s out celebrating her single status with her sisters. So when a very attractive man pays for their drinks and then slips her his number, she passes it right back to him with a ‘thanks, but no thanks’. As the business administrator for their family’s event hotel, the Spark House, London has more important things to worry about, like bringing in new clientele.

As luck would have it, a multi-million-dollar company calls a few months later asking for a meeting to discuss a potential partnership, and London is eager to prove to her sisters, and herself, that she can land this deal. Just when she thinks she has nailed her presentation, the company’s CEO, Jackson Holt, walks in and inserts himself into the meeting. Not only that, but he also happens to be the same guy she turned down at the bar a few months ago.

As they begin to spend more time together, their working relationship blossoms into something more. It isn’t until their professional entanglements are finally over, that London and Jackson are finally ready to take the next step in their relationship. But between Jackson’s secretive past and London’s struggle with her sisters, London must question where she really stands - not just with Jackson, but with the Spark House, too.

This is the second installment of the Spark House Series and the second sister to find her lasting love. There is some slight humor throughout this book but the sweet slow burning chemistry is what keep the pages turning.

With Spark House growing in business each day London finds there isn't much time for extras and social life these days. It is a struggle just to keep up with her etsy story aside from the business task she carries. Just breaking up with her long time boyfriend after noticing they were in different places emotionally, she is fine to spend some time alone. When approached by a sexy man, she is surprised and tells him no. Little did she know she would run into him again.

Jackson Holt has grown his empire to something many never expected of a young man who lost so much early in life. But his business is booming and he is working so hard with the charities to make life easier for kids like him. Work has overpowered his life for a long time and he hasn't been able to find that true beauty that had drawn him in. When he does, he is now working with her and can't act on those feelings.

Will London and Jackson get a chance to see where the feeling that are sparking alive might take them? Will work and past problems stand in the way? Could their similar losses help to bring them closer to one another?

Another lovely installment of this contemporary romance series. It's so fun watching the Spark House find it's place in the highly commercial world of hotels. Excited for Harley's story.
