Release Blitz & Review - LETTING GO AT 40 by L.B. Dunbar

Letting Go at 40 by L.B. Dunbar is now live!

She didn't think it could ever happen again. Love that is. And it definitely shouldn't be happening with him.

Anna Kulis has lost her husband. Their love was a perfect kind of love; a once in a lifetime experience. She never intended to fall for anyone again. Never expected to have this attraction stirring inside her. And she never thought her emotions would run wild for the one man she shouldn't be attracted to - her late husband's best friend.

Mason Becker has a secret. As a renowned ladies' man, he's been in love with his best friend's wife for twenty-five years. After his friend's untimely death, and a period of grief, Mason finds himself in a compromising position with the one woman he didn't think he'd ever have. And that night leads to complications - namely, a desire for more.

Letting go can be one of the hardest tasks for the heart.
Opening up to a second chance at love can be even harder.

This is the 4th and final book in the Lakeside Cottage Series. I knew every word would be worth the wait. Ms Dunbar has dug deep in her soul and given us the book that pulls every emotion we have bottle up to the surface. The character growth for these two characters has gone throughout the entire series but ten fold in this book. My heart is sad and happy all at the same time.

Anna is still working to find her new normal in life since the death of her husband way to early in her life. Helping her children move forward with the loss of their father, doing everything she can to keep the rest of their lives at a status quo. But who is she really, she was part of a couple for so long, a mom and a teacher. How does she move forward? She is missing the companionship of having a partner but when is it ok to move forward?

Mason has lived a life on the sidelines. His family life was nothing to write home about. But Ben saw him and friended him, was all the things Mason was missing. Ben saw the true worth of Mason even when he wasn't always letting it shine. But falling in love with the same woman as your best friend is hard on a person. Sure he tried to move forward but that love for Anna always simmered under his skin. Realizing as he was stepping up for Ben and Anna's kids that is was high time he did something about his own little girl. It was time to make things right, time to be the father Ben knew he could be to her.

Will Anna and Mason stay in the friend zone as many expect them to? Or will these friends that have bonded over the loss of a husband/friend find their path in moving forward together as one unit. Could it be that Ben wished for this,  pushing Mason to stick around and be there for Anna, just maybe Mason would get his chance to have what Ben had too?

I cried a few tears, I giggled at some of the silliness, my heart hurt but I smiled and in the my heart was so happy with the story.

This is a series you need to read and you really need to read all 4 books in order.
