She hates him. He can’t get enough of her.

My life was simple until Vincent Cove, an (annoyingly hot) American billionaire, arrived. He wants to convert the English country mansion where I live and work into a glitzy hotel.

Over my dead body.

I’m just a small-town waitress, up against Vincent’s goliath fortune, but I won’t go down without a fight. I'm taking on this billionaire bulldozer.

If I’d known his plans I definitely (maybe) wouldn’t have slept with him. And I’m determined to ignore the chemistry growing between us.

Except his charm is distracting, his persistence is irritating and his forearms, sharp jaw and devilish smile are downright infuriating.

At least I don’t have to worry about him sticking around. A self-confessed rolling stone, he can’t commit to a lunch order before noon, so there’s no way he’ll hang around long enough for me to fall in love with him.

A standalone, enemies to lovers, small town, billionaire romance with a guaranteed HEA.

3.5 Stars

This is the third book in the Doctors Series but could easily be read as a standalone. Though we focus on Vincent we still see the rest of the family a few times. This book is full of fun witty banter, sizzling chemistry, some challenges thanks to past trama all wrapped up in a small town atmosphere.

Vincent has worked himself up from nothing, working very hard to be better than his start. To blend into with his cousins and take a little bit of their love and acceptance with him along the way. Content to be busy building life, no time for relationships and committment.

Kate has found the estate to be a safe haven over the years. Wishing herself there as a child who was looking for stability. Afraid to leave in case something went wrong with the people she loved. Finding family in her friends and neighbors. Clearly by her spark, she was missing somthing and needing more, she just couldn't see it herself.

When Vincent brings forward his plans to change the estate we see her fire. She pushes back trying to preserve the things she loves the most. Will she be able to keep her parts of the estate as they are? Will they be able to avoid the initial connections they felt and keep things professional? Could this be the chance at love and happiness they never knew they wanted?
