We find ourselves back in Hudson Bay for a closer look at the members of Hudson Security in this series. Galvin and Sabrina "Bean" have been right under each others noses for the past eight years. She is his secret weapon, hiding out behind the scenes, being their eyes and keeping them safe when out on missions.
When our workaholic computer specialist finds herself having some health issues, she begrudgingly sees the doctor. When the boss walks in to find the doctor looking her over and noticed the shiner that is quickly coming to the surface, a switch goes off inside him. Hello, Mr. protective alpha boss. Suddenly there are feelings of what ifs, could it be possible, what if we cross that line. Watching the move from boss/employee to the possibility of something more was fun.
There are some threats still out there after the recovery of the little boy. Are they after Galvin or is something else going on? But when they set their sights on Bean, all bets are off. It's time to get their girl back. Can Bean hold her own until they find her?
A fantastic read and great start to a new series. Excited to see what happens next on Hudson Island.
