Re-Release "RIDE" & Upcoming Release "THRASH" by JC Emery

JC Emery has issued a re-release for "RIDE" the first book in the Bayonet Scars Series. The updates include a Prologue, an Epilogue and two Chapters from Ryan's point of view as Bonus Material added at the end.

If you already have "RIDE" in your possession, you should be able to download an update free of charge at your point of sale.

REVIEW OF "RIDE" BONUS MATERIAL:

The added prologue gives us a little bit of insight in the atmosphere around the Bayonet Scars motorcycle club house, before Alex arrived there. It helps put some of the reactions to her and the dynamic between some of the members in perspective.

The epilogue serves to better round out the end of the book. I had no problem with the perhaps somewhat abrupt ending the original version had, knowing in a series, we have the opportunity to follow the characters along on their path. However, the epilogue does round off the uncertainties around the relationship between Ryan and Alex, setting a scene in which Ryan is able to show evidence of his commitment. It also sets the tone for the next book in the series THRASH, which will be released January 9th.

The bonus material written from Ryan's perspective shows us a bit of context for his sometimes difficult to understand behaviour. Although I felt I had a decent grasp on Ryan before, I must say all these additions do add to better appreciating him in particular.

An absolutely FREAKINTASTIC start to this highly anticipated new series!!! I honestly did not know what to expect and I gave myself a few days to process the story after I read it, just so I could be sure I was responding to the whole and not just parts. A BLAST!!

Growing up, Alexandra has always known her father was committed to the wrong side of the law. As Principessa of the large Mancuso crime family, she was shielded from most of its more nefarious business dealings, but protected as she was, inevitably some of it filtered through. Although Alex chose not to see most of her father's dark side. That is, until he outlined the bleak future he had planned for her. Running from that stifling prospect, she gets caught in a situation where a right choice she thinks she is making, turns out to be the one to send her running in earnest. But this time she is running for her life.

Called on to drive with his family across the country to rescue a girl in trouble, Ryan Stone doesn't hesitate. His club and his family are his everything. He grew up as part of the club his father now is the president of, the Forsaken, and he lives by its obligations and rules. His stepmom is the one who received the call about the girl. He hadn't expected her to be this gorgeous..........continued

NEW RELEASE COMING SOON!!! JANUARY 9th, 2014!!

Loneliness suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.

As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn't have, and then lose her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness, he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing for.

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground, and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.
