Cam Miller was finally free! He sold his family ranch and can now escape his family's troubled past. His sister is off at culinary school so there is nothing holding him in Granite Junction he can finally follow his dream in Wyoming owning a business making leather pieces. 

Molly a single mom who owns a salon in Granite Junction has some big news, after a few fun nights with Cam this past summer she is pregnant. She struggles with telling Cam because she does not want to hold him back from leaving but feels it's the right thing to do. Molly is scared to let anyone in as her 8 year old daughter Riley's dad abandoned them after she was born to compete in Rodeos. 

Cam is excited and a little scared himself to be a dad, afraid he will turn out like his father. He decides to come home to Granite Junction each weekend to help Molly with her pregnancy and be there for her, but it is an 8 hour drive and he is exhausted he knows he will have to make a decision about his new business and involvement with Molly and the baby. 

He can see a future with her but can he have both? Will their chemistry and passion be enough to bring them together?

These characters drew me in very early and I found myself flipping pages to see where they go.

She nipped the tip of his thumb that was still idly stroking her lower lip, then she soothed it with a gentle kiss. “Neither of us were ready for anything before now. Heck, we’re not ready for anything now either but here we are.”

“Here we are,” he echoed.

She cupped his cheek with one hand and leaned in, lightly brushing his lips with hers, the pain in his soul crying out to hers for comfort, for soothing, and the woman inside of her responded the best way she knew how. He remained still under her kiss, passive, almost frozen in place as if unsure how to respond. She understood his reaction, as torn as she was by their situation, circumstances that had occurred beyond their expectations, that had somehow brought these two lonely souls together. Maybe they could help each other heal in the dark moments of the night.

She stroked his lips with her tongue, a little bolder, and he groaned. “Molly, you don’t know what you’re doing to me.”

She gave a husky, low laugh and let her hand settle on the tense muscles of his abdomen. The hard ridges of his muscles jumped under her fingers and she gently caressed him. “Are you distracted yet?”

“From what?”

“Mission accomplished,” she murmured against his lips.

Ever since Megan Ryder discovered Jude Deveraux and Judith McNaught while sneaking around the “forbidden” romance section of the library one day after school, she has been voraciously devouring romance novels of all types. Now a romance author in her own right, Megan pens sexy contemporary novels all about family and hot lovin’ with the boy next door.
