A strong start to a new series of characters in this small town setting. This age gap romance is full of heat that sizzles off the pages.

Boone feels like he has finally gotten to a comfortable place in life after having his son at 15, doing everything possible to raise him after being left to do it all alone. He's thankful for all who helped him along the way.

Alexis finds herself working two jobs as she searches for her new beginning now that she is armed with her college degree. But finding that job that will pay her student loans and allow her some time and luxury has yet to come. She's feeling a little down these day.

After playing the flirting game with Boone for weeks between the hardware store and the bar, she decides to give herself a night of fun. Boone and Alexis connect easily and the connection grows fast and furious. As Boone realizes he might finally be looking for more than one night. Alexis quick to trust and go with the flow to see what happens next.

I enjoyed this read, full of great characters and family bonds, minimal drama. I look forward to reading the next book.

She bent to pick up the wood out front, and the top of her tank gaped open, giving me a clear view down her shirt. I forced my head in the other direction, though my eyes managed to slant and continue looking.
