This is the 3rd book in the Special Ops Scots series and it is a fantastic addition. We have seen Finn and Saoirse in the other series books and friendly isn't actually a term I would use. These characters are hiding many emotions but when the gates start to open, there doesn't seem to be much either can hide.
Dr MacGregor sees a very different side of Finn when he arrives at her clinic with his buddies ex marine service dog. Worried about his physical and emotional state.
When Saoirse goes to Out Of Bound Scotland to get help locating her college friend that she knows is out in the highlands, they are quick to step up. She never expected to be working along side with Finn and Ajax.
The more time these two spend together the more they each start to see between the cracks in the armour. The happy go lucky guy that is always trying to lighten the mood. The loving doctor that stepped away from the life of pedigree to do more with her life and was only embraced by one part of her family.
The story line was full of suspense and adventure, the characters drew me in from the beginning and watching them open up and heal together was beautiful.
