This was a fun quick read that held me from the very beginning to the very end. Wonderful characters who weren't looking for anything and end up getting so much more.
Being auctioned off for a night didn't seem like too bad of 'an idea until the older grandmother pays a hefty price for Cord, aka Hollywood. Slightly relieved when he finds out she bought him for her granddaughter.
Lucy is working hard a rebuilding her life, working as a teacher, raising her little guy all alone. Dating isn't even on her radar. It didn't work out that great for her anyway. When her grandmother drags her out to the firefighter auction, she seems all out of sorts. Worse so when she realizes what grandma has up her sleeve.
One night, what harm can it be. In one night these characters feel so many emotions. The chemistry is strong, the attraction is strong and when Cord makes Lucy feel scene the swoon sets in a little. But later when Cord realizes she is a single mom, he starts to pull back. Will he give them a chance and take a step he promised he never would?
