This is an emotional sweet addition to the series. Though I think it could be read as a standalone book, it think reading the others stories helps with the side characters and world building.
Tori has recently moved back to Willow Brook and is loving being back. Sure there are still sometimes where the memories of what happened all those years ago with her father, meet her head on. But she is still happy to be back, starting a new in a familiar place, with familiar people.
Kincaid has moved to town and joined the Hotshot Firefighter crew. Bringing his mom to the place she has always wanted to return to. Helping care for her while working a demanding job can be a bit sometimes but he wouldn't have it any other way.
