Series readers knew that Caden's story would be a good one and Ms Elliott certainly worked her magic. Though this book could be read as a standalone, I really recommend starting at the beginning of the series. This book is full of chemistry, healing and finding a love you have only seen from the sidelines.
Caden has closed his heart a long time ago when his ex not only turned down his proposal but left town looking for something more than his little town had to offer. Though he came to realize that she wasn't meant to be his forever, he was more bothered with the fact he didn't see the true woman behind the mask until it was too late. He needed time to go through all the emotions of the loss and it turned him into one grumpy cowboy.
Lilibeth was excited for this move to the small town her parents decided to retire in. Ready for a slower pace and making her dreams come true in opening her store. Sharing her scents with everyone willing to give her a chance. Quick to find some fantastic friends but still feeling lonely and wishing for a love like some of those friends have found.
Caden recognized early that Lilibeth has a special spark, one he was fighting hard to keep at bay. But he couldn't help but be drawn her way. The banter and chemistry that sizzled between these characters just jumped off the pages and have you rooting for them. Will Lilibeth be the one to get Caden to open his heart once again?
