When Chloe starts acting up and getting in trouble Jessica is at her wits end and does not want to see her daughter make the same mistakes she did when she was that age. She takes Chloe to the Turn Around Ranch that has an excellent reputation for helping troubled teens. They make the 2 hour trip hoping there is a spot available in the program for Chloe. When they arrive they find out that there is no spot available, In a last attempt Jessica sees a posting that they are looking for a cook at the ranch so she makes a deal to do the cooking in exchange for her daughter to attend the program. Funny thing is she cannot cook and Wade Dawson one of owners sons and ranch hand is onto her. 

Wade's job is to keep the ranch going to help the troubled teens. He is attracted to Jessica and admires her courage and determination in respect to getting her daughter the help she needs. The more he spends time with her the more intrigued he is by her. Wade finds himself falling for Jessica he knows she is only there for a short time and doesn't think it is fair to ask her to stay. 

As Jessica progresses with her cooking skills she realizes she loves being at the ranch. She finds herself falling for Wade, they decided to make the most of her time at the ranch. Jessica secretly hoping Wade will ask her to stay. 

Will Wade get up the courage to ask her to stay or will he let his past experience get in the way?

This was a great read. The characters drew me in very quickly and I found myself reading every chance I got. This is my first book by Cindi Madsen and it will not be my last.

This book continues where we left off in book with, continuing Pike and Gigi's story. You will be quickly drawn back into the story with all that is going on.

Pike has done everything he can to leave his past behind him and start a new life. The only things from the past that he has really brought with him is his Gran that he still keeps in touch with. Regretting that he left his little brother behind, but knowing that his parents always treated him well and showed him love. But thanks to his father that hasn't happened and now once again he finds his past threatening the one thing he has come to love the most.

Gigi has fallen very quickly and thought her father is concerned for her, she is not backing down. This girl and the way she puts her daddy in his place is something else. She is determined to stick by Pike's side through all the turmoil that is happening right now. Convinced that they are stronger as a team than alone.

Can Pike finally rid himself from his past? Will Gigi get her way and stand beside him? Can they convince her dad that Pike is what his daughter wants and needs?

A great read with lots of twists and turns, keeping you reading and needing to know what is next. Excited to see if Tamara gets her wild adventure next.
