She’s his brother’s nanny...and totally off-limits.

In an effort to escape her overprotective mother, Cassie moved to Tampa to decide her future and claim her independence. When she lands a job as a live-in nanny to adorable twin infants, she’s convinced she’s on the right track.

Until she meets her new roommate: Tom. He’s an off-the-charts gorgeous neurologist (are they even allowed to be that sexy?), her boss' brother, and also her aunt’s best friend. There are way too many points of contact for them to take the risk...but Cassie can’t help but fantasize what contact with him would feel like.

Tom knows the stakes, but Cassie’s vibrant spirit strikes a chord in his heart and he can’t stay away. But just when they start to think they’re moving in sync, the unthinkable happens. Did taking the risk create a chasm too wide to bridge?

**Risky Move is a standalone book in the Tampa Suns Hockey series. This sweet and spicy full-length novel can be read on its own—no cliffhanger, no cheating and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.

You may enjoy meeting and following a growing group of friends connected by the Tampa Suns professional hockey team. Some characters are introduced in the Clearing the Ice Trilogy and Healthy Scratch.**

3.5 Stars

I have not read the other books in this series but didn't feel like I was missing anything substantial. I might find my way back to the beginning to pick up how some of the other relationship have come about. I love the family dynamic that is part of this team. Strong friendships between wives and players.

Cassie takes a leap and jumps into her gap year as a nanny to twins in Tampa where her Aunt lives. She will be living with her new love bugs but her Aunt is just around the corner for support. This is her opportunity to get a breather from her overprotective mother and her father while trying to decide what she wants for a career path moving forward. Tired of being in the middle of them since they divorced all those years ago, she is looking forward to the calm. Thankful for Caryn and Andrew making her feel so at home in their home. Surprised by the thoughts and feelings towards Tom, the children's uncle who lives in the attached apartment.

Tom is making strides in his new career as he finishes off his residency as a neurologist at the local hospital. The extra time spent helping his brother recover from a TBI has certainly put him a step above his peers. Recognized for his hard work, he is offered a position to work along with the Tampa Suns Hockey team as well. Clearly Tom has his life path sorted out, but one thing is missing. He is looking for his soulmate, just like his brother and friends have found. Could it be the beautiful sprite that his moved in to help look after his niece and nephew?

As they struggle with the internal decisions of should they venture into these feelings they are having or not. Tom and Cassie become fast friends and their relationship starts there. Everyone else can see what they haven't agreed to move forward on just yet. Will their age difference cause an issue? Could Tom help her in growing her self esteem and becoming the woman she was meant to be? Could they have found their happily ever after in the same house?

There is lots of emotions throughout this story. Digging deep within to see what you really want out of life. Self forgiveness and finding love for yourself and others. There were a few times where I felt the story was a little long and slow but I did enjoy it in the end.
