I was super excited for Hunter and Madison's story. The angst and emotion that comes along with Madison's return bleeds off the pages. It is clear to see that the love Hunter and Madison had for each other so long ago is still there strong, buried under all the hurt and despair. The secrets that drove her away all those years ago have the control to break this family all over again.

Madison is looking for the comforts of home as she returns to her home town with her sweet daughter Avalee. As she reconnects with the important people from her past, she feels the losses caused my her leaving all over again. They hurt worse than the loss of the marriage that sent her home. She has a lot to work through if she is going to stay in this town.

Hunter seems to have things under control, The family peach farm is back on strong legs again thanks to the help of some great people. He has slowly started to move on from the loss of Madison and might have even started to find a way to love without her. When he sees her and her daughter in town, his simple life goes for a landslide and he has to make some hard decisions.

I am still a little bit emotionally wrung out after this book, but I am hoping that Beau and Savannah will sort things out in the next book. Waiting impatiently for more Dixon adventures.
