This book was a unique storyline that brings you a slow burn with witty banter, sexy chemistry, fears from previous relationships and the sweetest little girl. Once I started I needed to keep reading, needed to see these characters work through things. I quickly fell in love with the characters and was loudly cheering for them in the background.
Stella has worked so hard to get this new career and product on the market and in the past year things have been piling against her. She is beautiful and so smart, but her confidence has taken a few hits in the recent past. After some relaxing with her buddy Fisher, she does something she would never do in the name of fun. Little did she know that fun would lead to so many things.
Hudson is an astute business man who divides his time between his job and his little girl. Leaving some room for his big brother duties. Taking over and running the family business after his parents both have passed away. He seems so serious and focused all the time, except when he is with his daughter. After his divorce, he has kept women at an arms length not needing the hassle. But Stella has caught his eye, as much as he tries not to notice.
Will these two scorned people find a way to step past the fears, let the attraction and the draw bring themselves together, business relationship be damned? Could this one night meant for fun be a fated journey that leads to so much more?
