In true Aleatha fashion the twists, turns and unknowns will have you flipping pages digging for answers. I highly suggest you read the prequel, it will add another layer of depth.

Emma tries to come across as a strong and confident woman, but she also has some vulnerability hidden behind her poise. She is still trying to come to terms with the life she thought she knew. Worse not having anyone to talk to about it. Will she learn to trust again? But who should she trust?

Rhett is accustomed to a life of power and money. Being the heir to the New Orleans underworld. Along with his power, he wants someone to share his time with. Not a wilted flower but a willful woman who will challenge him but also submit to him behind closed doors.

Will Emma give Rhett what he wants? Will she find her place in a world she didn't know she was part of?
