I never wanted to be a cowboy, living in a small town was suffocating.
The military was my out.
I saw every place I ever wanted and everything that nightmares are made of.
Until I almost lost my life and then I ended up back home.
Hazel
Finding out that I was pregnant the night before I left for college changed everything. I left that small town and vowed to never return.
When my grandfather died, I had no choice but to go back home.
The plan was just for two weeks.
I thought it would be quick and easy, until he was standing at the back door asking questions.
Secrets never stay secrets for long in this town.

This is a wonderful friends to lovers second chance romance. As will all the other books in this series the family dynamics are strong and intertwined with the story.
Reed finds himself back home after six years, still not certain this is where he belongs but knowing it is time for a visit. Working on healing his body and waiting impatiently to get back to duty. He wasn't prepared for the family he has missed, the beauty he walked away from and the things he didn't know.
Hazel is struggling with the loss of the only family she has had. After loosing her parents too early, Pops did everything he could to help her best the best woman she could. A strong and determined single mom, with a fantastic little girl. But the longing for a big family has always been there. Is it time for something more?
The town that they have been running from for so long is waiting patiently for them to return. A family so big it is overflowing, just waiting to share it's love. An emotional story about finding your true meaning, finding a lost love that shines like the sunshine and a the sweetest little girl.
I love that even with emotions high as they navigate the new normal, there is no crazy drama and blow ups. Everything is dealt with in a calm, reasonable fashion.
I have enjoyed this series and all the love it his brought.

When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
