Always a hoot being back in Lake Starlight with the meddling Bailey family. This is Harper's story with her one night stand Firefighter Finn. A witty and emotional read as things get twice as complicated when she see Finn again.

Harper and Finn drew me in from the get go. They had a strong chemistry even though they were trying to fight it at the beginning. Spending time together came easy once Finn made his way back to Lake Starlight to stay.

I love how Finn was able to center Harper when she let her thoughts and doubts start running wild on her. He never once doubted her strength and ability to be a mother.

A strong recommendation for me.

This is the third installment of the series and I love how we still get to interact with all the characters even though each book is surrounding a new couple. It's like being home with old friends or family. This duo works seamlessly, I can't tell who is writing which parts.

Hudson "Dash" is in the hospital recovering after the incident at Jade's concert when he overhears things in another room from the hall. He doesn't like what he hears. Soon he is keeping an eye on the sleeping beauty in the room. Always a protector, he starts to watch the comings and goings. Before he knows it he is in the room reading to her when he can't sleep at night.

Willow's life has not been her own in so long she can't remember. But waking in the hospital afraid for her life after the fight that put her in the hospital. Worried about what will happen next for her. But she wakes to Hudson, wanting to help her and give her her life back.

 Watching Hudson's family step up for Willow when they didn't even know who she was. Her struggles to find her place while being out of sight for her own safety. Watching the relationship grow between Hudson and Willow was sweet but not without issues.

Excited for the next book in the series.

This is the 3rd book in the Special Ops Scots series and it is a fantastic addition. We have seen Finn and Saoirse in the other series books and friendly isn't actually a term I would use. These characters are hiding many emotions but when the gates start to open, there doesn't seem to be much either can hide.

Dr MacGregor sees a very different side of Finn when he arrives at her clinic with his buddies ex marine service dog. Worried about his physical and emotional state. 

When Saoirse goes to Out Of Bound Scotland to get help locating her college friend that she knows is out in the highlands, they are quick to step up. She never expected to be working along side with Finn and Ajax.

The more time these two spend together the more they each start to see between the cracks in the armour. The happy go lucky guy that is always trying to lighten the mood. The loving doctor that stepped away from the life of pedigree to do more with her life and was only embraced by one part of her family. 

The story line was full of suspense and adventure, the characters drew me in from the beginning and watching them open up and heal together was beautiful.
