Having enjoyed the other books in this series, I was anxious to get my hands on Nicks story. Ms Hagen did not disappoint at all. I live the family dynamics, I love that once decided Nick was all in 100% and was determined to do anything it took. This book is a slow burn with all the feels.
Allison stepped up without a hesitation to take over raising the twins when her sister and brother in-law were killed in an accident. Now months later as they are just getting to a quiet normal, she is faced with a new round of challenges.
Nick has been around since Allison has taken over the kids. Trying to help and make sure the kids and Allison are doing well. When this new challenge arrives, he wants to support her and make sure the children don't go through yet another upheaval.
Both Allison and Nick have noticed the other in more than friendly manners but never crossed the line. The more time they spend together the more the thoughts pop up. Could it be that what started as something of convenience for a good cause could end up as something so much more?
