This is the eighth installment of the series and though the books could be read as standalone, it really is best to start from the beginning in order. The world building makes the stories come to live better. This found family just keeps getting better and better as it grows.
Rebel is busy and works hard to help keep the Handmaiden's in good running order as SaA, working at the fitness centre, but she is missing something as her sisters are all finding happiness and soulmates. She just doesn't think it is in the cards for herself. She feels she carries too much baggage.
Doc Atlas has been doing well the past couple of years, juggling being a single father and his busy OB/GYN practice. He is missing the intimacies of a relationship more and more these days. When he assists in a delivery at the gym he meets Rebel and she is quickly all he can think about.
Will Atlas & his boys win Rebel over and let get him a chance? Will Rebel see that she is worthy of all the things everyone else has found? Could this be the family that she needs to shine?
As this series and story have sensitive matter, it may cause triggers. Though the author doesn't sugar coat the reality much she also does a great job of bringing the healing and spiritually into the story. It is an emotional ride for all involved but so worth the read. Grab your copy today.
