She hates me…
I’m going to make her fall in love with me anyway.
As captain of the SoCal Vipers, the last couple of seasons haven’t been going well. My stats are slipping, and I’m at risk of being traded.
So, I’m not in the mood for a case of mistaken identity with the woman playing bouncer at the arena door.
But when I find out she’s come to town to escape her controlling family and make a fresh start, I know I can’t just let her walk away.
I’ll do anything to make sure she’s safe.
And if that means claiming her forever…then all the better.
Because she’s mine.

A fantastic start to a new series from a pair known for their hockey romance. This book is so much more than hockey though and as the world building takes us through the story I feel like we are going to get so much more from this series.
Aspen is a hard working, proud and determined woman who has left everything behind and moved by herself to So Cal, looking for a new life. She learned hard and fast that it is anything but easy to be on your own and survive but she wouldn't have it any other way. But in doing so she has found it hard way, that being alone has only made it harder to trust people and let them see her and not the prickly pear she uses as a defense.
Banks has everything he could wish for, his hockey career that he has and still is working his ass off for, his found family that does a great job of filling the whole after the loss of his father. He wasn't looking for love and relationship but there is something about this woman that just keeps drawing him in and he doesn't want to fight it.
