Sigh.... I have been waiting for Mav's story to come and knew it would be a good one. This book though could be read as a standalone, it is part of an interconnected series and I think best to read the ones before. A swoon worthy golden retriever fella who just wants to take care of those he loves. A girl doing everything in her power to save the family legacy and the trees that mean so much to her.
Mav didn't think twice about opening up the house to Dove, when she was coming to stay and study to help save the trees on her family farm. The farm where he first realized that his crush on a family friend could be so much more. He wasn't sure however how he was going to keep things in the friends zone, she wasn't staying.
Dove has be so focused on learning and doing her part to keep the family farm and legacy a go, there hasn't been too much time for relationships. And now it is even worse as they fight this fungal disease threatening the whole crop. But seeing Mav again after all these years has brought back all those crazy feelings from the last time she saw him.
Will Mav and Dove cross that line? Would it be as good as both their hearts are telling them? But it would have a time limit, right. He lives in LA and she is going back to the farm.
