A.L. Jackson readers have met Silas and the Crimson Crows in the Moonlit Ridge Series, but this is a real look into the Crows. A great crew of men with so much to offer once you dig though all the scars and broken pieces. Ms Jackson does a great job of opening up this world to us.
Silas started his looking after people at a very young age thanks to his father and his ways. He has a true heart that he hides from so many but gives freely to his family. He stands tall for the mission behind the Crimson Crows and will do just about anything to make that mission happen. While working to rid the world of the dangers that kidnapped his sister, he agrees to keep someone's sister safe. He was not prepared for Brinley and the feelings she would evoke.
Brinley finds her self packed up and taken to stay somewhere to keep her safe from the trouble her brother Dereck has gotten himself into. Once again her world is being uprooted thanks to Dereck. She is not happy about this but what can she do. Determined to make her time useful, she agrees to help work at the autobody shop. Never in a million years did she think while be held for her safety she would find the things she was missing. The family she never knew she wanted. The one man that seems to light her fire even though she knows she should keep her distance.
The suspense and mystery, while these broken and flawed characters find their way will have you flipping pages determined to read more and find out what happens. Will they come to their senses and open the hearts they have walled up for so long?
