I lift my chin, look in the mirror in the dressing room, and meet his gaze. “Thank you. For coming in here.”
“Only place I want to be.” He lowers his face, gazing at my body as he runs his hands over my bare shoulders and coasts them down my arms, slow and sensual. This is book two in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I do see me going back to read book one though as I loved the characters and want too know more. This book was so fun, full of banter, emotions and chemistry that bounced off the pages.
Remy finds herself in a predicament. Dumped on the jumbotron by the best man in her sisters wedding. She needs a date for this wedding and all the events that go along with it. Who better to approach than her besties, hunky hockey playing brother Lake?
Lake has secretly watched Remy for some time from the sidelines. He is not ready to put himself out there for love again after the loss of his late wife and all it has done to his family. But watching Remy on that jumbotron, sparked something in him. Determined to help her see the beauty she is.
The more time they spend together the more this fake dating seems like there might be some emotions involved. Will this ever be more than just fake?
The audio narration did a fantastic job of bringing the characters and the story to life, making you feel like part of the story and not just listening. Many LOL moments that got me some looks I am sure.
