Well D.M. brought everything to the table with this book. Grabbing you from the very first chapter and holding you captive, along side Stella with each after that. 

When the local Mob boss kidnaps your wife that your brothers don't know about, it's time to share all your secrets. As Incubus' life seems to be imploding, his brothers willing stand by his side and step up for him in any way they can. When he brings his daughter Isabella home so he knows she is safe while they look for Stella, my heart grew. Watching this big bad enforcer brought to his knees but the little firecracker was heartwarming.

Stella has had her share of difficult things in the past. Working for the government she is well trained in all things. Strong and resilient, smart and resourceful, quick thinking and so much more than people expected her to be. The things she endured while captive would make most women break but she never let that though penetrate. She held her love for Incubus and Isabella be her driver. Never once did she waiver on the thoughts he was coming for her. Doing everything she could in secret to keep her strength up, and her wits about her all while being drugged secretly.

There were many unexpected twists along the way that were big shockers. But the reunion and the healing once they got Stella home was hard and beautiful at the same time. I do wish we had gotten a chance to see a little bit more of the Stella and Incubus together. Their love deserves the attention but maybe we will continue to see it as the series unveils.

Very much looking forward to figuring out what comes next after Mauve's visit.
