Dylan has been one of Ms. Barker's secondary characters that I have been wishing for a book of his own for a long time. We have seen him hit rock bottom and slowly find his place and work towards being a great father and fine FBI Agent. As much as he knows he has succeeded in bettering himself and loves his son, he recognizes that something is missing in their life. The relationship that he has with his son Max is wonderful to watch, it give us an idea of the softer, gentle side of Dylan we don't always see when looking at the FBI agent. He has noticed Marya from afar over the past years as they have mutual friends but never really had to opportunity to get to know her better. When he gets the chance he charges forward happily.

Marya has her hands full to the brim raising three rambunctious boys between 8-13 alone and working two jobs. When her ex walked out on her 5 years ago she had no choice, but knowing they were better off without him, made the up hill battle that much easier. Thankful for her mom who has been there helping along the way. Sure she has tried to step out in the relationship search a time or two since but crashing with a big bang. So living her life to the fullest with her boys has been her main focus. When the younger hot FBI agent starts to show her some interest her insecurities start to get the better of her. Will Marya be able to open herself up and step past the concerns in hopes for something more?

Carefully plotted suspense that is all to close to home puts everyone on high alert. Thus putting Dylan into protect mode, and he is determined to include Marya and her boys under his care. Each piece of the investigation causing a little more aversion to their day to day life. Causing extra care when doing day to day activities everyone including the boys are feeling the kickback of the situation.

A well rounded Romantic Suspense story that will engulf you until you get to the end, and are wishing for just a little more because you aren't ready for it to be over yet. Instead of two main characters to fall in love with, Ms. Barker brings us six that will hold your heart. Each boy sneaking in your heart with a different attribute and making it full of smiles.
