Carmelo's story has been long awaited since reading about the horrible accident that has caused him so much guilt over the years. I knew it would take a special kind of woman to break through his walls.

Mello is a loving guy that is easily to see when you see him interact with his family but on a personal level since that day 10 years ago he has always kept women at arms length. This causing the player persona that he has been given by everyone. He needed to be ready to put himself out there and be willing to try before anything would really change.

Arlo is doing her best to keep moving forward one step at a time. Life has given her a fair share of kicks over the years. With no family to call her own, she is used to time spent alone. She has her writing to keep her focused anyway and that keeps her plenty busy. When Mello saves her for the second time and she meets some of his family, finding new friends. She wasn't prepared for the life changing that was about too happen.

I like that this bad boy player was drawn to Arlo enough to respect her thoughts and visions. Knowing that it would take a different way to find a connection with her. The slow burn of their relationship was certainly different for the series but make the connection so much more.
