This is the second book in the SEALs & CIAs Series and can be read as a standalone but there is some characters that cross over. I will make my way back to read book one but didn't feel lost while reading. SEAL Tony and CIA Elliott are forced to work together in an second attempt takedown.
Tony is struggling with the loss of his team, his injuries that he has recovered from the best that can happen and moving on from that horrible mission. He is a seal to his bones and knows that work will help sooth soul if he can just get out of his head. Elliott is a badass CIA Agent who has seen more loss than she cares to admit. She gives just as hard as she gets, with a fierce fire that makes people step back.
To say both have more baggage than garbage dump would be putting it mildly. But it is they layers and issues that draw them together when they are out of sight of the world around them. They can relate to the feeling each other is having or hiding. They find a safety when the other is around.
If your ready for some sizzling chemistry & smokin hot scenes with a fight for dominance and riveting suspense full of action then this should be your next read. The romantic suspense junkie that I am, wish I could read this one for the first time all over again.
