A sweet swoony second chance romance with a splash of suspense to add to the intrigue.

Carly is a criminal phycologist who is currently hiding out from a potential threat. This causing her to bite the bullet and head back to her home town for a bit. Hopefully being there won't bring back to many unwanted memories.

Beck has a minute while working with a patient that distracts him and makes him realize that he needs to face his past in order to be able to move on and make peace with what happened. He wasn't expecting to she Carly when he was in town. He wasn't expecting the feelings that quickly surfaced.

Are the hurts of the past too much for Carly and Beck? Will they be able to let the heart overtake the mind and see where this new found chance leads them?

The chemistry between the characters was sparking from the very beginning. That fine line between hate and love. But the hot and cold push and pull did get to be a little bit repetitive. The other characters and the little bit of suspense kept the pages turning. An enjoyable book.
