Once again I completely enjoyed my trip to the Plain Daisy Ranch with this witty, fun, emotional book. Emmett finally gets his story and it might surprise some but I think deep down we all knew that the sweet soft hearted man was hidding being all the crazy outgoing charisma.
Briar is trying to find her own in a new place with a new job. Okay not new but coming back feeling like she has her tail between her legs with failure. Knowing that living with her sister and her fiance wasn't an option, she gives in and ends up living with her once crush who she hates.
Watching Briar and Emmett go from snarky and short with one another to quiet respectful confidents is just the beginning of their relationship. As they move through the stages they each open up a little bit more and it is heartwarming to see a love grow.
Thankful the epilogue gives us note that we are not done with the Plain Daisy Ranch and all it has to offer. Patiently waiting for the next story.
