Charlie is finally getting his story. We have seen him throughout the series and know that he is a dotting father to Lucy. Doing everything in his power to make sure the has love and family presence in her life. He is good at this job as a lawyer and the Mayor of the town but there has been very little personal about him thus far. That is because there isn't much to tell. After the scandal that was his ex-wife, he has kept himself low profile. Can you blame him. But when someone new arrives in town, he has some trouble keep his focus.
Janessa is here with her daughter Vega looking for a fresh start. One that is not media focused. She has been there done that. She knows that this change is not only hard for her but her little girl, so she is fighting with all that she has to make a new life. Finding a great job in with the town. Spending quality time with her parents that she has missed so much. And....lusting after the Mayor.
Will their past and ex's keep them apart or help to draw them closer? Could this new start mean finding the right man?
The chemistry these characters share is sizzling and incontrollable. I did miss a little of the intimate nature of the other books with this one. But the inclusion of these two awesome 10 yr olds with a plan of their own, sure did keep it interesting. Very much looking forward to James' book.
