This is the first book in the Blackbridge Security Series. Along with a strong solid story to read, Ms. James has lined us up with a hot group of broody alpha males to look forward to.

Deacon started Blackbridge Security upon his return from duty and his divorce. He has certainly locked up his heart and feeling since all that happened. Making his company everything it can is what has been his driving force for too long. But when his ex-wife's best friend call him frantic, he jumps right into action.

Annalise is living the life on her family money, attending Gala's and parties. She even thought she had the worlds best friend ever, until she started to pull away. When she discovers there was a shooting in her best friends apartment down the hall, she panics and call the only person she can think of for help. Deacon Black her once enemy but her best friends ex-husband.

This action filled story never really slows down from page one. You will be turning pages to see if Deacon and Anna will overcome the sexual tension while trying to find Dani. Will their past get in the way and keep them from taking the next step?
