I was waiting to see if Cory and Ande would get a second shot at something that seemed so great the first time around. There was a whole different kind of Angst in this book and I can tell you that it threw off my connection with the characters just a little bit. Don't let that hold you back because this dynamic duo of a writing team will break you down a little bit and then put you back together just like they always do.

Cory found himself kind of flailing in the wind a little bit after returning from the island and his time spent with Ande. When she didn't return his messages, his heart and ego were a little bruised and he let his normal focus' slide a little bit. This getting his name in the limelight a little more than normal and not always for good reasons. Making it a little harder to achieve his goals with Ande once they connected again. He certainly did prove that he has fight and is willing to work for the prize.

Ande warned Cory from the very beginning that the hurts of her past cause her to have strong trust issues. A feeling of not being enough, and she wasn't sure she could handle the attention his job brings to his life. The temptations were too much as far as she was concerned. Though she made some bad decisions and she wasn't truthful early in the game, once she let Cory in a little there was not stopping the feelings, she knew would come fast.

There is so much more involved in this story and it is something you have to read on your own. To tell you much more would be giving too much away. I will say I enjoyed the read and was thankful to have my heart happy in the end. I am completely intrigued for the next book and can't wait.
