Book one in the Duet of the Men of the Falls and it sets the stage so nicely. Big bad alpha protector who suddenly finds himself wanting more than he ever expected from this life. When that one right woman steps into your sights and you can't get her out of your mind. Violet is looking to start a new in a new town after being shafted by her ex boyfriend and best friends. But with every step Vi takes she is strong and solid, not looking down on life and her circumstances.

Ms Moreland will suck you in as you watch Aldo's sweet protective side coming out more and more as he is watching out for Vi, helping her get settled in and being there when she needs him. Violet doesn't back away when she realized that Aldo might be a little more on the moraly gray side of things thanks to his work and his loyalty to his best friends. She has seen the softer side and wants to explore that man. Knowing that all of this is new she is patient with him while standing her ground when she feels it is needed.

A great book full of emotions and some healing along the way. I can't wait for Roman's story.
