This was a fun witty read that also gets into a little bit of heavy stuff. Solid, relatable characters who pull you into the story.
Andi keeps to herself, focuses on her work and her very few people. The loss she has endured in her life has her keeping people at arms length. If she doesn't get close she won't feel the loss when they leave her.
Cole has noticed her and been intrigued. What his fellow firefighters thought was a game but it never was for him. He can see her walls and wants to knock them down, get to know the real woman behind them.
