We have all waited long and hard for Kimmie and Austin's story. It's a book full of emotions, angst over feelings, fighting for your dreams and most of all love that envelopes the sweetest sassy little girl.

Kim has been telling everyone who would listen to her that Austin was her prince and she was going to marry him one day. This has been going on since she they first met all those years ago when his only focus was looking after his mom and playing football. Anything that would rid them of his biological father.

Today Austin finds himself back in the town that changed everything for him. As he takes over as the head coach for the high school football team that gave him his break. Determined to his best to keep things to the standards of his mentor, step father Jack. But life is not easy as a single father to a sassy little firecracker.

Kim is delighted to have Austin back in town, thinking maybe this is finally their time. She and Callie have become so close and it is wonderful to see. Now she has a fight on her hand to help Austin see her as the woman she has become, not the little girl who tagged along. Such a wonderful series end as we have gotten a chance to touch base with all the characters from both generations. But a sad day to leave them all behind.
