Damien's story has been a while coming. We have watched him in the background in the previous books and he seemed almost to be in a different world as far as love and feelings go. He started to open up a little in Unforgettable, with his mom and his sister Roxy.
It was fun watching his love for Sophia grow, even though most of it happened without real interaction. He stood back watching out for her but somehow seeing the real woman behind the mask. His internal struggles with being the person he has always been to the new man who let love and feelings into his heart. His growing love clouded his thoughts just a little bit.
Sophia was a little bit of a wild thing. But I think that part of her wild was from being forced into the world of eyes always watching. Having to be super careful of what she did and how it affected everyone else. When she opens her heart and lets Damien in, it is truly beautiful.
Perception is a very tricky thing and even worse when someone wants you to believe something in particular. We all have small hidden fears that can cloud our perception. The biggest struggle is learning to trust in each other and your heart to decide what is real. Can Damien and Sophia's trust each other surpass the fears and perceptions pushed on them? Will they be able to provide a united front?
Gigi, this is was wonderful addition to the Able Series. All these gun carrying alpha males and the beautiful women that keep them in line. Looking forward to what you bring to us next.

After growing up in the Philippines, I now live in California with my husband and two girls. My husband survived two bouts of cancer, AML Leukemia and Mucoid Carcinoma; hence, the inspiration for Unbreakable. I thank the good Lord for healing my husband, twice. It can’t get any better than that.
Our oldest, Andrea is a junior in APU. When she looks at my computer, the first thing out of her mouth is “Mom! What are you looking at? Dad!” Our youngest, Allysa is a freshman in high school. The few times she passed by me and looked over my shoulder when I was writing, her reaction was, “Mom! I’m telling dad!” There you have it; I have two double agents in my house. What happened to loyalty?
If my husband is the ying to my yang, Andrea is the Marlin to my Dory while Allysa is the Buzz Lightyear to my Woody. I love the beach, but I hate the sand; I love to travel, but I hate to fly; I love to eat but, I hate gaining weight (all women can relate to this); and so goes my little quirks in life.
Am I crazy? Well, the jury is still out on that one; however, I’d like to think if I can make one person smile with my craziness, it’s all worth it.
