Ugh I don't know if I can wait for the next book, it is too far away. I was so drawn into this book that I don't want to move on, I need to know what is happening next! Ms Romig snared me nice and early, the depth of the mystery, the worry, the love for a family chosen, the surprises that keep you thinking long after reading.
Lorna and Reid have been our quiet safe haven in the previous books. But their love and connection has been strong. Lorna mothering the group of men, cleaning and feeding them, helping where possible as they each found their love. Friending and helping the women adjust to he world of Sparrow and all it entails.
Reid likes to be behind the scenes helping in everyway he can. Always the voice of reason, until your reason is missing and worry takes over. It was good to see him fall apart a little bit, from Mr. calm cool and collected. He is determined to find his wife and get her back.
I loved how Ms Romig uses flashbacks to help us understand the relationship and how it was built. Not only remembering the happier times but some of the sad times that helped form the ties as well. I am on my see waiting very impatiently for the next installment.
