Release Blitz & Review - SLEIGHT OF HAND by Marie James

 Release Date: October 26

Gaige Ward, acquisition expert for Blackbridge Security, obtains things for the team.

As far as your mind can take you is how far he can go.

If it exists, he can get his hands on it.

If he can’t, he’ll find someone who can.

He never fails.

As with all things when growing in popularity, Blackbridge is also taking on scrutiny.

His boss, in an attempt to counter being called misogynistic and discriminatory against women, needs a female with the ability to handle the same tasks his guys can.

Leighton Redmond fits the bill perfectly.

Only, according to her she isn’t for sale, for employment or otherwise.

Gaige loves a challenge but has NEVER had to fight so hard to procure something for his boss.

Maybe next time he’ll think twice before having a one-night stand the day before a very important business meeting…

This is the next installment of the Blackbridge Security Series but you find the same actions of protection and who done it because we are focused on Gaige the legal mastermind of the business.

Gaige loves his work for Blackbridge Security and it keeps him very busy. He is not a relationship guy, as their are many beautiful women to entertain. Don't take his lack of want for a relationship to mean he doesn't believe in love, family and all that. He had a wonderful family as a guide, he just chooses to leave that alone.

Leighton is the best in her business, that explains why Deacon wants her to join the team. Her world as she new it, including her family has quickly crumbled to the ground. Starting with her finding her father cheating on her mother. The spiral affect that just keeps dropping bricks is almost too much to handle. In a need for some stress relief before starting her new job, she ventures out for a quick hook up. Boy did she get more than a hook up.

John and Ginger had a chemistry that was bouncing off the pages from the first paragraph. But Gaige and Leighton held that chemistry in a wonderful push and pull game. There I times I wanted to slap them both and tell them to just talk to each others, sometimes words are needed. It was fun to watch their realizations that maybe there might be something more worth having in their lives.

I did miss the mystery and suspense from the series that we have come to love. This was a good romance book.

Let's see...where to begin...

I'm inching up on the BIG 4-0. The gray hairs are doubling what seems like daily, and the wrinkles and laugh lines are more pronounced than ever.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we're doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master's degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there's usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I'm not writing; I'm reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I'm reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it's gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
